Mural honors Everyday Stars


Painters pay tribute to 160 for generosity

A healing blanket, a food-stuffed backpack, a glowing lantern.

All of those images are part of an ongoing mural project, called “Murosity,” which will honor more than 160 people who have made a difference in the community as “Everyday Stars.”

The project is “a great exchange of energy and art,” says Vicki Junk-Wright, an art teacher at Canterbury High School, who is one of six local artists organizing the project.

The others are Santa Brink, Karen Moriarty, Teri Marquardt, Penny French-Deal and Terry Ratliff.
